Hi fans! When new news comes along, I will post each update in one entry, so if you only see one piece of news from each post, please remember to check posts before that to see updates that you have missed. :)
There was recently a quote released about me saying that I don’t write songs about ex boyfriends, I may have been misunderstood and would like to clear that up. Most of my songs are about love, I am a 16 year old teenager and I sing about what is on every girls mind. Love. What I was implying was that the songs I sing about, the boys who have hurt me or that are no longer in my life don’t deserve a song to be written about them but, that’s impossible. Writing and singing is a gateway to sharing and getting out feelings.
I hope that I have cleared up any confusion I may have caused to my fans! You guys rock and mean the world to me!
Hey guys! Sorry for not updating in a while, I’ve been busy with school exams and projects. Anyway, I have a lot of photos to add to the gallery, as well as a lot of new WOWP stills!
Here is an excerpt from Selena’s interview with OK Magazine, from Just Jared:
On her closet: “It’s a mess! What used to be my guest room is now my closet. It’s also my mom’s closet, since we wear the same tops and shoes.”
On Canadian actress Rachel McAdams: “Rachel McAdams is wonderful. I’d have a heart attack if I met her!”
On her exes: “I get so mad about ex-boyfriends, but if a boy hurts me, I don’t write a song about it. They don’t deserve it!”
On fellow Disney pal Demi Lovato: “She’s been my best friend since I was 7. I want the best for Demi, and she wants the best for me.”
On her fashion style: “I started out as a tomboy, but over the past year my wardrobe’s gotten classier. I’m growing up.”
On the hit series Friends: “I watched it every single night before I went to bed. I am obsessed with it! I bawled when it was over.”
Selena has been on a lot of Disney Channel shows. Don’t expect her to appear on JONAS! Here’s an article from the National Ledger about it!
What’s confusing about the Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez? First, we still aren’t sure that Selena Gomez was a replacement for Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus as rumors of break ups and make ups between the adorable teen starlet and Nick Jonas slither through the entertainment media each and every day.
But that’s not the problem. According to a report from In Touch Weekly Selena is trying to keep the kids straight. The report details, “Don’t expect Selena Gomez to guest star on the Jonas Brothers’ new sitcom, J.O.N.A.S.! “We don’t want to confuse the kids by me being on every [Disney Channel] show,” Selena told In Touch at a UNICEF event in New York on October 24.

“Right now, I’m focusing on my show, Wizards of Waverly Place. We’re trying to get Demi Lovato to come on - I might go on her show, Welcome to Mollywood - and I’ve already done Hannah Montana.”
That said, the report claims that Selena is enjoying her proximity to Nick (her rumored ex or current depending on the day), Kevin and Joe, and adds, “The Jonas Brothers are shooting their show on my lot, so I see the every day!”
Nov 05 • Another Cinderella Story Behind The Scenes!
Congratulations to former Senator Barack Obama, who has just been elected as the 44th president of the United States! I want to thank all you Americans who voted, and all you international citizens who supported the elections as well!
Nov 04 • Selena Gomez Not in Tune With Carrie Underwood
Los Angeles (E! Online) – Selena Gomez doesn’t exactly agree with Carrie Underwood that celebrities should shut their traps when it comes to politics.
“A lot of people do look up to certain celebrities and will follow in their footsteps,” Gomez told me earlier today, adding, “I think you just have to be aware of what you’re saying.”
Underwood refuses to say who she’s backing for prez. “I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate,” she explains in the new issue of TV Guide.
Gomez countered, “I’m glad that people are getting involved with the election. This election has been the biggest with celebrities.”
Although Gomez can’t vote yet because she’s only 16, she’s thrown herself into this year’s election season, encouraging young people to educate themselves on the issues. Most recently, she helped launch UR Votes Count, a nationwide program that asked teens to cast their votes at polling stations set up in 150 malls in 42 states.
So, who are teens going for these days?
Barack Obama won by a whopping 62 percent of the votes, while John McCain pulled in only 33 percent followed by 2 and 3 percent going to Bob Barr and Ralph Nader, respectively.
Gomez admits she still doesn’t know who she would support for president if she was allowed to cast a ballot today. “I’m not really sure who I would pick to run our country,” she said. “It’s kind of nice not to be able to vote, because I may not be as ready to as I will be in the future.”
That future also includes movies. Gomez recently started her own production company, July Moon Productions, to develop feature-film projects. “I’ll have my own control of my career and what my movie decisions will be,” she said. “I want to make sure I choose roles that will challenge me as an actress.”
She already has a list of who’d she like to work with—that is if she can keep her awe in check. “Rachel McAdams, Meryl Streep, Renée Zellweger and Shia LaBeouf are all the people I would faint if I met them,” Gomez said.
Today’s America’s big day! Make sure that you are registered to vote! Do not waste your voting privileges. Each vote counts! Even though I am a Canadian and I’m underage, I still support it. PLEASE try to make your votes, even if the weather is bad, head over to your assigned voting place and cast your ballot! If you need help going over your Propositions, a good website can be found by clicking here. Usually, voting goes on from 7am to 8pm! Make sure that you do not wear any campaigning shirts, as they have the right to kick you out and you can lose your voting privileges. Please remember that your vote has to benefit the entire nation and not just you. America needs a better change! If you are underage and still want to make a difference, head over to urvotescount.com and place your votes! SELENA GOMEZ supports this as well!
Selena has updated her blog on her official MySpace yesterday. Read it here:
Hello Everybody– November 2nd
I know it has been too long since I have been on here. A lot of stuff has been going on and I have not had a whole lot of time to get on here to fill you guys in. As some of you may already know I was in New York for Trick or Treat for Unicef, which is a great program educating kids to help other kids in other parts of the world, I know it may be a little late for Halloween but, check out the site and be ready for next year. http://youth.unicefusa.org/trickortreat/
I have also been back and forth to New York for a few talk shows Rachel Ray, The View, The Today Show. I LOVE New York, it is such a great city the energy is amazing. I will be going to Dallas this upcoming weekend to help support my cousins cheerleading charity event. I can’t wait to see all my friends and family from back home, it has been far too long since I have been home.
Also, last night I went to the Jason Mraz concert at the Greek Theater, by far one of the best concerts I have ever been to, he is amazing. If you have not already gotten his new album be sure to go pick up a copy and one of my favorites songs is “Lucky”. I cannot even explain what a great show it was I was so happy to have been there.
Well I am finally 16 as some of you may know but, still no license not even a permit yet but…… I will be taking my drivers education test at the DMV November 4th. Wish me luck, I am nervous. When I pass I will have my permit and then have to drive around with my Mom and step Dad for 6 months before I get my actual license, I am guessing I will be 30 by the time I get it.
I cannot wait for the Holidays, I will be spending Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years with my family. The Holidays were cut short last year because of Another Cinderella Story shooting but, this year I have nothing in the way. I can’t wait. My favorite time of year Fall to Christmas!
Sorry again it has been so long.
Thank you all so much for everything your messages, comments, your calls, on here and on the youtube. I read them often and it means the world to me to have you all in my life.
TeenHollywood.com has an article that Selena will star and PRODUCE in 2 new movies soon! Here’s the article:
Disney star Selena Gomez is on her way to becoming the next teen movie mogul after forming her own production company.
The 16 year old has formed July Moon Productions, a partnership with Xyz Films, to develop at least two films for the actress/singer to star in and produce.
The deal comes hot on the heals of a decision by Disney bosses to adapt her hit TV programme Wizards of Waverly Place for the big screen - following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus’ upcoming Hannah Montana film, and Hilary Duff’s 2003 The Lizzie McGuire Movie. SOURCE
